Warranty and guarantee, in Kinetico’s terms
- Tanks
- Premier / Premier XP softeners and Kinetico filters: 10 years on polyglass resin/media tanks and regenerant (brine) storage tank. Signature and Essential Series: 5 years on tanks. Powerline PRO: 10 years on tanks. K5: 10 years on all parts including storage tank. AquaKinetic A200: 7 years on all parts including tank.
- Valve
- Premier / Premier XP: 10 years on all parts, including resin, Macrolite media, bypass valves and prefilter assemblies. Signature and Essential: 5 years on valve body, brine valve and all parts including resin. Powerline PRO: 5 years on control valve body and brine valve; 1 year on valve seals. Scale Reduction System: 5 years on system and parts, excluding media.
- Electronics
- Premier Series is described as non-electric (valve parts covered under 'all parts’). Powerline PRO electronic valve components: 1 year. Leak detection, KINEX salt monitor and Kube have separate warranties (Kube: limited 2 years).
- Filters or housings
- K5 reverse osmosis (RO) membrane: 10 years if installed after a Kinetico softener, 4 years if installed separately; A200 membrane 2 years; HYDRO ECO 2 years on all parts including faucet; PFAS-POU 5 years on manifold cartridge housing and 1 year on other parts, cartridges excluded; other products (e.g. MACguard filters, housings, pumps) 1 year. - Nimbus Water Store online orders: full refund for unused items in original packaging returned within 30 days of delivery; 15% restocking fee from day 31 to 90; nothing accepted after 90 days; buyer pays return shipping. No return window stated for dealer sales.

- Home systems are sold, installed and serviced only through independent authorized Kinetico dealers in the US and Canada; Kinetico’s FAQ says it does not sell direct to the public. Two exceptions run by Kinetico companies sell online: the Kube under-sink filter (kubewater.com) and the Nimbus Water Store (Nimbus Water Systems, Temecula, CA).
- Installation
- Dealer-sold systems are sized and professionally installed by factory-authorized local dealers, and the warranty requires dealer service. The online-only Kube filter is marketed as a DIY hookup of about 15 minutes.
Does Kinetico fit your water?
What you need depends on your water, not the brand: hardness decides whether a softener is worth it, and PFAS or chloramine decide which filter. Look up your city first, then compare.
